AT&T settles car accident case brought by injured waitress

Written by Emily

Digna was driving her vehicle through an intersection in Houston, Texas when a truck driven by an AT&T employee ran a red light and broadsided her. Digna mainly hurt her low back in this crash. She ended up having a back surgery.

AT&T initially denied Digna’s claim, refusing to admit that its driver was at fault for the accident. Digna hired our firm to pursue her case. VB lawyers filed her case in Harris County, Texas.

We worked up Digna’s case, proving the crash was the fault of the AT&T driver and proving Digna’s injuries.

We negotiated a $500,000 settlement for Digna, which was achieved less than one year after the crash. Attorney fees were $200,000, and litigation expenses were $18,000.
