Our client was driving a tanker truck for his employer when he got sideswiped by a rideshare driver.

The wreck occurred on a Houston highway while the rideshare driver was changing lanes. The rideshare driver had a passenger in their car at the time of the wreck. The rideshare driver claimed our client was speeding, but that was disproven by witnesses and experts.

Wreck undoes years of healing and recovery of previous injuries

Our client hired us because even though there wasn’t any physical evidence on his tanker truck, the crash had caused a lot of damage to him. Years before, he suffered a back injury that required daily physical therapy exercises.

This wreck aggravated that back injury. It undid years of healing.

Curtis Bickers took the lead on this case. As a Board Certified attorney in Personal Injury Trial Law, he has the specialized knowledge to help people whose prior injuries have been aggravated in wrecks. Find out more about how we help people in these types of cases involving pre-existing injuries.

Rideshare’s insurance company compensates our client for the damage done to prior injuries

It can be difficult to get an insurance company to write you a check in these types of cases unless you have an attorney who files a lawsuit. The insurance company will just say you’re using this wreck to get paid for that previous injury and refuse to pay for anything.

Curtis and his team stepped up and helped our client prove his case in court. This wreck caused our client to need back surgery and miss a lot of work. Curtis was able to settle our client’s case for a confidential amount after telling our client’s story to the rideshare company’s lawyers.
